All his life, Basil Ghali has had a passion for helping others. He believes that everyone has a duty to help others in need, and looks forward to shaping his career around this fact. He chose to follow his dreams, committing to develop the skills needed to achieve success in the healthcare field. Today, Basil is well on the way to reaching his goals, and he continues to forge a new and exciting path for himself.

Basil’s Educational Journey

Basil Ghali kick-started his educational experience at the University of Michigan-Dearborn in 2012. He completed two semesters as a pre-medical undergraduate student. At the same time, he was working on attaining his Emergency Medical Technician certificate, believing this experience would help him to develop practical medical knowledge he could later use in his studies. Once he had earned his EMT certificate, he chose to put his University education on hiatus, opting to work as an EMT. As part of his EMT certification, he joined the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT), an organization dedicated to helping EMTs and paraprofessionals in the healthcare field gain valuable skills.  

In 2013, Basil earned his Health Care Provider certificate from the American Heart Association after completing coursework. This experience exposed him to new skills and knowledge that he would leverage as he continued his educational path.

2014 was a busy year for Basil, filled with advanced lifesaving education and qualification into higher level of training and achievement. distinct areas. He attained his Paramedic certificate after a period of one year of intense coursework, practical skills, and examinations. He graduated among the top of his class. As part of his training and through courses offered by the American Heart Association, he mastered two life support programs, earning certificates in:

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Provider
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Provider

Basil’s ultimate goal is to continue his education by completing his undergraduate degree. His dream is to discover his true professional passion, regardless of the field.

Basil is an active member of the NAEMT, which has given him the ability to continue EMT and Paramedic training programs while he works. He has attended several national conferences and has interacted with fellow care providers on a regular basis.
